It is as it is named. A massive crater filled full of pure water. A small island exists in the middle and the craters depth is about a mile and the width almost three miles. The walls that surround the crater are five miles high and parts of it are covered with snow in the fall through spring. There is a small path that leads gently down to the lake and a rather large shore that stretches for almost the whole width of the lake.
